Irrespective of whichever field it might be, I believe that facts should be verified before being published on any form of online media. The Internet was supposed to be the savior of all fields of human knowledge, was it not? At the click of a button, you could virtually have access to information on any topic - something which was not imaginable a few decades ago. However, with volumes of content being created on a daily basis, and everyone having access through their phones or laptops, it has become almost impossible to regulate the veracity of the information being proliferated. From news anchors to political parties, it has become a routine malpractice to disseminate false information that suits peoples’ agenda. This is where I am determined to ensure that the public discourse remains correct regarding the facts or figures.
